Portico degli Uffizi

The Portico degli Uffizi is the covered courtyard outside the Uffizi Gallery. Entrance to the courtyard is free. Around the walls of the courtyard are statues of scientists, artists and statesmen important to Florentine history. The thumbnail photos for this site contain a picture of each statue. Galileo’s statue is, of course, one of those to be seen.
