Guido Aretino

Coming from a time 500 years before many other Portico residents, little information is available about Guido Aretino. He was a Benedictine monk and a musician. He is credited with the invention of the musical staff and with associating a syllable with a musical note. The musical score in his hand symbolizes these ideas.
