Egnatio Danti O.P., installed a quadrant on the facade of Santa Maria Novella in 1572. This picture shows the west side of the quadrant support. The quadrant has been removed for conservation. The small black dot vertically above the support, just above the horizontal inset, is where the quadrant was attached to the church facade.
