This ceiling detail in Galileo's living quarters is duplicated in Gatto's late 19th C. picture of John Milton visiting Newton.

Milton refered to his 1638 meeting with Galileo in a public address in 1644. Some of the ramifications of that meeting have been explored by Hugh Henderson in an article in the Physics Teacher.
